These being a Glock 34 and Springfield XD(M) 5.25 competition. The primary objectives for the loads were proper cycling of the semi-auto, noise and accuracy. With this in mind I have been trailing various loads to get the optimum results. Yesterday saw the successful completion of these Trails. My load recipes are as follows.
Glock 34 – Aftermarket 13 pound slide spring
Winchester 9mm case
Federal small pistol primer
3.0 grains of ADI AS30N (Shotgun) Powder
135 grain Black Hawk Round nose projectile
Note – Consistently cycled under firing, locked open the slide after last case ejected.
Springfield XD(M) Competition 5.25 – Standard Spring
Winchester 9mm Case
Federal small pistol primer
2.6 grains of ADI AS30N Powder
135 grain Black hawk Projectile
Note – Consistently cycles under firing, slide doesn’t always lock open after last case ejected.
You can also use the same load for 125 grain semi-wadcutter projectiles
I found these loads to work well in the firearms tested but note this may differ from fire arm to fire arm.
